| Eastward the island, under Platanos lies Panteli. This small picturesque fishing village, with its original island character tends to merge with Platanos. The old traditional fishing houses together with the boats of the fishermen complete the idyllic picture with the infinite blue of the sea in the background.
Panteli today is a cosmopolitan quiet center with the yachts that dock on the marina next to the fising boats, with restaurants, cafeterias and the bars, which all are attracting a large part of the island's tourist and local population. As the visitors often say, if you dont pass through Panteli, you havent really seen Leros... |
